Welcome to The Common. This is your luxurious coastal farm retreat where you'll enjoy the effortless comfort, breathtaking views and expansive grounds. This timeless house boasts spacious, elegantly furnished rooms, modern amenities and panoramic ocean and farm views. The property offers a unique Kiwi experience, taking you from the farm to waves. You'll have no trouble soaking up the view from every angle.
In 2026 and 2027 we will be hosting a very limited number of weddings only. Our mission is to provide an extremely high quality and bespoke experience when you celebrate with your loved ones here at The Common.

Discover the Historic Villa
The Common is a special piece of history on the East Coast. The Villa originally built in 1885 was carefully relocated in 2004 in four large pieces from Remuera, Auckland to this rural setting overlooking the dunes and expansive views over the East Coast.
The Villa has four elegant bedrooms, all giving you their own version of the views towards the sea and farm. The kitchen, dining and living all combine into one easy living space, and the bi-fold doors bring the yard and beach right to you.
The access to the beach is right at the driveway. A quick walk across the front yard will take you to the white sand beach which is renowned for great fishing and surfing amongst the locals.
The kitchen is high-end with everything you need to enjoy wonderful meals with friends and family.
The Common is ideal for families. The swings, gardens, play house and beach all give endless hours of pottering around the property.
Pukehina & the
Bay of Plenty
Pukehina is a small seaside town where a lot of life revolves around the beach. You'll see horses, quad bikes, kayaks, boats and lots of fishing off the beach. Head to Pukehina Parade to Monty's for the weekend craft market and a good coffee or drink.
Te Puke Golf Club is a quick 15 minute drive away. The Redwoods, known for great mountain biking trails is a 50 minute drive away. The beautiful lakes of Rotorua are a 40 minute drive away.
Roger's Beach, right at your front door is renowned for fishing. There are sea kayaks and some fishing gear for you to try your luck at catching dinner.
